Arcel Tolentino (staring at the camera) of Quinale Paete sits next to colleague Algae Markgodes from Santa Maria. They have teamed up with another Colleague and friend Mildred Tatel from Famy to do a poetry reading at the Gitna Cafe on Valentines Day 2024. All students of the Tagalog Language at LSPU in Siniloan. 

These students of Tagalog have an interest in Deep Tagalog, the pure form of it, less tainted from colonialism. In fact there are quite a few writers of deep Tagalog. Of course, any serious writer will be interested in the depth and ambiguity of words in any language. Lyricism.

Bumili ako ngayon gabi ng dalawang San Mig Light. Isa pang pa tulog, isa pang pa lasing. Kasi noon ako binawas ang aking inuman, mabilis ako malagihay.

Kahapon sumakay ako ng jeep sa Santa Cruz pa punta sa Paete. Yung daan sa loob na ka harang sa mga batya at kahun puno na mga gamit na pag pa benta ng mga tinderos. Kahit punu ng pasaheros sa jeep nito, wala nag reklamo o kahit ng tunog na iinis. Sanay sila. Alam nila lahat sa hirapan sa hanapbuhay. Lahat masaya, at pag bumaba na yun mga tinderos yung ibang pasaheros tinulong nila. Ganun lang dito, simple lang.
